What a logo actually needs to do (and why most fail)

(german version down below)
A logo is not just a pretty picture. It's the face of your business — the first thing people see, and the last thing they remember. And yet it's something most businesses dangerously underestimate.
WHAT A LOGO MUST ACHIEVE
Recognisability — It must be unmistakable. Your logo cannot be confused with a competitor's. Scalability — It must work on a business card as well as a billboard. A logo that only works on screen is half a logo. Timelessness — Trends come and go. Your logo should be just as strong in ten years. Personality — It must reflect the soul of your business. Who are you? What do you believe?
THE MOST COMMON MISTAKES
Too complex. What looks great on screen becomes an unreadable blob when printed small. Trend-driven. When everyone does the same thing, no one stands out. No strategy behind it. A logo without brand strategy is like a house without a foundation.
Your branding isn't the result of your success. It's one of the paths there.
A strong logo sends a signal: "I'm serious. I'm ready. I'm the right person for you." When are you ready to send that signal?
WAS EIN LOGO LEISTEN MUSS
